This piece is an audio transformation of Marcel Duchamp’s “3 Standard Stoppages”. The resulting curves from Duchamp’s action have been digitally recreated and each of the 3 curves govern parameters such as pitch, timbre, volume, frequency and duration of each “measure” on 3 different audio tracks. Each measure is repeatedly looped. The result is an infinitely generative composition.
